Maruti to start manufacturing lithium-ion batteries at Gujarat joint venture plant this year

New Delhi: Auto major Maruti will start manufacturing lithium-ion batteries at Gujarat joint venture plant this year. The company unveiled its Futuro-E electric vehicle concept at Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi. Batteries made in Gujarat plant will be used for hybrid and electric vehicles manufactured in India.
