CM lays foundation stone for Milk Processing Plant, with 30L capacity per day, of Banas Dairy

Palanpur: Chief Minister Vijaybhai Rupani today categorically stated that Gai, Ganga and Geeta (Cow, River Ganga, and Hindu Scripture ‘Geeta’) have significant importance in our culture. The state government is dedicated for all-round development of animal husbandry and dairy industries.

He was speaking at a function organized to lay the foundation stone for Milk Processing Plant of Banas Dairy, to be built with capacity of 30-lakh liters per day, at Sanadar in Diyodar tehsil of Banaskantha district.

The Chief Minister further stated that the plant would change the entire scenario of the region. Besides milk, the processing of potatoes and pomegranates would also be done from here. The ‘Banas Dairy’ has made vital contribution in making ‘White Revolution’ in the country.

The animal husbandry and agriculture sectors would play key roles in fulfilling the dream of making Indian economy of 5 trillion USD envisaged by Prime Minister Mr. Narendrabhai Modi, Mr. Rupani said.

The Chief Minister also welcomed the decision of Mr. Modi to not to sign on RCEP law for favouring the Indian live-stocks owners and thanked him (Mr. Modi) on behalf of them.

The Chief Minister further stated that his government is active and determined for all-ground growth of Banaskantha district. ‘Har Hath Ko Kam, Har Khet Ko Pani’ (Work for every hand, water for every farm) is the mantra of this government, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister of State for Dairy and Animal Husbandry Minister Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, praising the dream of PM Mr. Modi to double the income of Indian farmers, said that Gujarat’s co-operative model is an inspiration and ideal model for the nation to follow.

Others who spoke on the occasion included Member of Parliament (Banaskantha) Mr. Parbatbhai Patel, Mr. Shankar Chaudhary – Chairman of Banas Dairy, and others.

The event was also graced by MLAs – Mr. Shashikantbhai Pandya, Mr. Kirtisinh Vaghela, and Mr. Nathabhai Patel, Mr. Mavjibhai Desai – Vice-Chairman of Banas Dairy, Mr. Ramsinhbhai Parmar – GCMMF, Chairman, Mr. Maganlal Mali – Chairman of Gujarat Warehousing Corporation, Mr. M. L. Chaudhary – Chairman of Banas Bank, Mr. Rajubhai Pathak – Chairman of SUMUL Dairy, and others.
