Gujarat Cabinet decides to allot 30 acre land for free of cost at Shahpur near Gandhinagar to set up Children’s University

Gandhinagar: Gujarat cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today took decision to allot 30 acre land for free of cost to set up Children’s University at Shahpur in Gandhinagar district.
According to Dy CM Nitin Patel, the Children’s University is at present functional in Subhashchandra Bose Education Complex in Sector 20 of Gandhinagar. The university had demanded land for setting up its own campus.
He said, the university is at present run by the State government. In year 2019-20 Rs. 5.33 crore grant was allocated. The State government will also spend for construction of the university buildings.
Patel said the university will educate the children and train the parents and pregnant women.
