Ahmedabad – Keshod flight service likely from March 23

Junagadh: A 72-seater flight of True Jet connecting Kehod to Ahmedabad is likely to start from March 23, said State tourism minister Jawahar Chavda.
The plane for Keshod will leave at 10.00 am from Ahmedabad and arrive at Keshod at 11.20 am. Return flight will take off from Keshod to Ahmedabad.
Connectivity to Keshod is in a way connectivity to Somnath and Sasan Gir. While Somnath has first Jyotirling temple of Shiva, Sasan is famous for Asiatic Lions and Kesar Mango.
Keshod airport is closed for last two decades for regular flights. The airport however witnesses movement of VIP aircraft some times. The airport was built by Junaadh Nawab for his own plane in 460 acre land. Later in 1980s, the airport was renovated. Flight movements were regular till year 2000.
