Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today announced hike in Anganwadi (kindergarten) women payment. According to an announcement made by Dy CM Nitin Patel under rule 44, Anganwadi worker women will get Rs. 7800, Tedagar women will get Rs. 3,950, mini Anganwadi women will get Rs. 4400 with effect from March 2020. Aeriers for March 2019 to February 2020 period will be paid in three installments. The State government will bear additional burden of Rs. 112 crore with this decision which will benefit in total 53,029 women. Effective hike in case of Anganwadi worker is Rs. 600 while in the cases of Tedagar and mini Anganwadi women it is Rs. 300.
