Gandhinagar: Replying to opposition Congress party’s former State president Bharatsinh Solanki’s remark that Nitin Patel should join Congress party with 15 MLAs of BJP, Patel today spoke to media and affirmed that he would be in BJP till his last breath. Patel said Congress leaders pass some remark mentioning his name in order to grab attention in media and TV. Patel said he didn’t leave BJP even in the past when Shankersinh Bapu broke BJP and left away with several BJP MLAs. He said he was offered post at that time but he had refused to leave BJP. Patel said he had been in Jan Santh and BJP even when he couldn’t win election. Patel said Congress party should not mention his name in order to spread illusion among people. Patel said, BJP is his life and he is going to live in BJP.
‘When Narendrabhai became Chief Minister for first time he handed over responsibility of Finance ministry. I was Mahesana district executive committee member, core committee member, parliamentary board member and I am also permanent member of BJP national executive. BJP is in my blood, it is in my heart,’ Patel said adding that BJP is his only party and he is associated with BJP not for power but for its ideology. Patel said he has been with Jan Sangh since 1974. He said Congress leaders should worry about their own party which is clearly collapsing.
