Heat-wave with yellow level warning in parts of Kutch region, similar warnings for tomorrow as well

Ahmedabad: Heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Kutch district today even as the met department has issued similar warnings and advisory for the bordering district of Gujarat tomorrow as well and forecast a rise of 2 to 3 degree in next couple of days.

According to the IMD center issued met bulletin here this evening at least half a dozen places across the state today saw mercury crossing 40 °C with Surendranagar recording the highest at 41.3 °.

Ahmedabad city saw the maximum of 39.4°C which was 1.4 °C above normal.

North-easterly to Easterly winds are prevailing at lower levels over the region. The met has continued its yellow level warning for parts of Kutch district for tomorrow as well.

Rise in maximum temperature by 2-3 °C very likely over Gujarat region, Saurashtra during next 2 days.
