Indians start arriving at SVPI airport from locations abroad

Ahmedabad:Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel international airport here for the first time saw such a scale of passenger traffic during over month long period of nationwide lockdown. Passengers arrived at SVPI airport from foreign locations in special flights operated by the Central government to bring back stranded Indians. After health screening, the passengers were given options of going to a 14-day quarantine in either Govt facility or in paid facility in hotels. Quarantine facilities for incoming passengers from abroad have been arranged district-wise. At SVPI airport today, total of 139 students from Manila returned at 3.30 am. Another flight from US carrying around 100 stranded Indian has also arrived at SVPI airport in the morning.Government buses are going to drop the passengers to districts. Some students fro Maharashtra are to be dropped at interstate border.
