Ahmedabad: AMC (Amdavad Municipal Corporation) has decided to give partial relaxation to cabs, taxi, cab-aggregators for providing service to and from Sardar Patel international airport in the city. No auto-rickshaws will be allowed. The decision has been taken in 10th meeting to review the Coronavirus situation in the state today. Each cab, taxi, cab will have one driver plus maximum two passengers only.

AMC has released a note pertaining to tenth meeting held after new municipal commissioner took over the charge.

According to this note, the period between 15th to 21st of May saw highest number of 11,320 Covid19 tests since April first week. It’s worth noting that AMC had stopped sharing the figures of daily tests in its press releases since May 16th. The civic body has today shared weekly data. In fact the note informs that 11,320 Covid19 tests during 15-21 May period is a weekly record so far and it has helped in controlling further spread of Corona in the city.
