Gandhinagar: 30 persons succumbed to Covid-19 infection, 318 Covid patients were discharged and returned to home and 485 new Covid-19 cases were detected in last 24 hours as per the data released this evening by the Government of Gujarat.

The Government said, the state witnessed total 2,27,898 Covid-19 tests so far. Among 30 persons who died in last 24 hours, 22 were from Ahmedabad, 3 from Vadodara, 2 from Surat and 1 each from Bhavnagar, Kutch and Navsari. Among new detected 485 cases, highest 290 were from Ahmedabad, followed by 77 in Surat, 39 in Gandhinagar and 34 in Vadodara.

Gujarat has so far witnessed deaths of total 1122 Covid patients. Out of total 4983 active cases,64 are critical and on ventilator support while 4719 are stable. 12,212 have been discharged after recovery. Total number of cases detected in Gujarat including those discharged, died and those under treatment so far is 18,117.
