Gujarat govt merges two neighboring municipalities with each other in three different cases

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has clubbed two municipalities with each other in three different cases.
With this, Surendranagar-Dudhrej and Vadhwan municipalities will be one single municipality and it will be called Surendranagar-Dudhrej-Vadhwan municipality with Surendranagar as headquarters.
Navsari and Vijalpur municipalities will be one and it will be called as Navsari-Vijalpor municipality with Navsari as its headquarters.
Porbandar and Chhaya municipalities will be one and it will be called Porbandar-Chhaya municipality with headquarters at Porbandar.
Prant Officer Vadhwan has been appointed as administrator of Surendagar-Vadhwan municipality.
Navsari’s Prant Officer has been appointed as Administrtor of Navsari-Vijalpur municipality.
Prant Officer of Porbandar will be administrator of Porbandar-Chhaya municipality.
