Gandhinagar: Gujarat has recorded 778 new cases of Covid-19 in the span of 24 hours ending at 5.00 pm today as per the State health department bulletin. 421 Covid19 patients recovered during this period while 17 died. Total number of active Covid19 cases in the state is 8,913 including 61 who are critical. The State has witnessed total 26,744 discharges and 1,979 deaths so far on account of Covid-19 infection. Total number of Covid19 cases in the country so far has been 37,636. In the last 24 hours period, Surat city recorded highest 204 Covid19 cases followed by Ahmedabad city at 172.
