Gujarat govt has procured 2,220 Tocilizumab injections of which 2,080 used on patients : Nitin

Gandhinagar: Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel who is also Health minister of the State today stated that Gujarat government has so far procured 2,220 Tocilizumab injections of which 2,080 injections have been used on patients for free of cost. Patel said only one company, based in Switzerland makes these injections and there’s widespread shortage of them in India where Cipla is the only dealer. Patel said, Gujarat government offers free treatment of Covid-19 and even these injections, each costing Rs. 45,000 are being made available to needy patients for free of cost by the government.
