Copying Gujarat’s initiatives and selling them as your ideas doesn’t show your smartness: Rupani to Rahul Gandhi

Gandhinagar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in reference to an article on BJP ruled Himachal Pradesh government’s ongoing survey to select ‘One district, One product’, today tweeted self-boasting claiming that this was a good idea and he had suggested it some time back.

Reacting to this, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani tweeted then Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel’s year 2016 tweet in which she had mentioned her government’s concept of ‘One Vilage, One Product’.
Rupani in his tweet, lambasting Rahul Gandhi’s ‘my suggestion’ claim said Rahul was copying Gujarat’s initiatives and selling them as his ideas, which doesn’t show his smartnetss. Rupani in his tweet furthers said he doesn’t expect Rahul to know details of anything, but his script-writers should know better!
In veiled reference to Congress party’s repeated losses in elections under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, Rupani in his tweet further said, ‘How about a One defeat, One reinvention policy for you?’

Congress supporting handles further escalated the debate and claimed that Rahul had spoke about ‘One district, one product’ policy way back in year 2017.
