Gandhinagar: As per the State Congress sources, party leader Rahul Gandhi has sent his two aid Sachin Rao and Krishna Alavaru to Gujarat to search for suitable candidates for the 8-seat assembly by-polls that are likely to take place in the month of September this year. All 8 seats were won by Congress candidates previously in year 2017 assembly general elections of Gujarat. By-polls on these seats are necessitated due to resignations of Congress MLAs, some of whom have joined ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently. Sources said, the central team of Rahul Gandhi aides has visited Gujarat twice in last 15 days.
