Dwarkadhish Mandir to remain closed for visitors during Janmashtami and Parna this year

Dwarka: Expecting heavy rush of devotees on Janmashtami, Gujarat’s Dwarkadhish temple is going remain closed from August 10 to August 13 Gujarat for visitors. However the religious rituals may continue to take place by priests as per tradition. A formal order in this regard has been issued by the district administration in view of ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation. The order states that Krushna Janmotsav festival (Janmashtami) on 12 August and Parna festival on 13 August may attract 1.5 lakh people to Dwarkadhish temple. In addition to this, 15th August, Pateti and week-end just after Friday, may attract even more visitors. Therefore there shall be ban on entry inside the temple during 10 to 13 August for visitors in view of Covid-19 pandemic situation.
