Fire breaks out in GG Hospital, Jamnagar; None hurt, all safe

Jamnagar: Fire broke out in one of the rooms of Gujarat government run GG (Guru Gobind Singh) hospital here today afternoon. A room where fire broke out is located next to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Thanks to timely evacuation, none is hurt in this incident of fire which as per primary information, originated in one of medical equipment identified as echo machine. This machine and some beds are destroyed in fire. Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, Chief Fire Officer and others had rushed to the hospital following the incident of fire. Local Fire Brigade has controlled and doused fire and not allowed it to spread any further. This is third incident of fire in hospitals during Covid19 pandemic in Gujarat.
