Freefire : A murder over video game diamonds in Surat, 11-year child a victim, 20-year youth killer

Surat: An 11-year old child of Jharkhand origin family Akash Tiwari was missing from city’s Gujarat Housing Board – Hiranagar residential colony on Tuesday. On Wednesday his dead body was found from a nearby house of a 20-year old youth Aman Suresh Shivhari. Police has at the end of primary investigation concluded that victim child was choked to death by Aman as the child refused to transfer diamonds (points) of Free Fire mobile video game to Aman. This is an eye-opening incident of crime which exposes the dangerous world of mobile video game addiction and obsession.

11-year old Akash Santosh Tiwari was students of class-4 in Sitaram Hindi school. His father is a security guard. At 3 pm on Tuesday, Akash told his mother that he was going out to play with friends. He never returned and went missing. The family had filed missing complaint in Pandesara police station following which a kidnapping case was registered. Police had doubt on Aman Suresh Shivhare, a 20-year old person living nearby. When checked into Aman’s house, Akash’s dead body was found lying under bed. Akash’s body had signs of choking and nail injuries. His body was taken to Civil hospital for postmortem. When questioned, Akah’s killer Aman told police that Akash would come to his home to play mobile video game. Akash had visited Aman’s home on Tuesday morning and again in the afternoon. Accused Aman told police that Akash would take his mobile phone to play ‘ Free Fire ‘ video game even after repeated denial. Once when accused Aman told Akash to do a favor and transfer the diamond points to him, Akash refused to do so. Caught in anger, Aman killed Akash. DeshGujarat
