Recruitment procedures for State government jobs to resume

Gandhinagar: After the order by the Gujarat High Court pertaining to government circular dated 1 August 2018 regarding quota provision in the State government jobs recruitment, the Chief Minister has asked its recruitment arms to resume recruitment process which was stalled due to pending case in the High Court.

According to the State government, the Chief Minister during his meeting with GPSC, Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal, Panchayat Seva Pasandgi Mandal, Police, General Administration Department and Education Department last evening gave important orders, as per which, 8,000 vacancies for which recruitment procedure is over are too be filled and appointment letters are to be issued immediately. Exams for posts for which vacancies have been allready announced are to be conducted after Covid-19 pandemic situation normalize. More than 20,000 youths are to be given government jobs in next five months.

GPSC chairman Dinesh Dasa stated that the government has asked to resume recruitment procedures.

Gaun Seva Pasandgi Mandal’s Asit Vora said, ‘due to pending case in the High Court pertaining to General Administration department circular dated 1-8-2018, all procedures regarding recruitment for government jobs were stalled. In some cases written exams were conducted, in other cases computer proficiency tests were conducted but further procedures were stalled. Now after the High Court verdict and relate orders by the State government, all pending exams are to be conducted and procedures are to be resumed. DeshGujarat
