ACB nabs Dy Mamlatdar for receiving bribe to approve NA approval to Agriculture land

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has today nabbed a deputy mamlatdar of Junagadh collector office for taking Rs. 1 lakh bribe from an applicant for approval to binkheti (non-Agriculture) application.
Jagdish Gopalbhai Makwana, a deputy mamlatdar who is class-3 officer of Gujarat government in Land branch of Junagadh Collector office had demanded Rs. 30 per square meter bribe for binkheti(NA) conversion of agriculture land. The total sum of bribe demanded by Makwana was Rs. 3,90,000. After bargain, the final sum of bribe decided was Rs. 3 lakh. Makwana was nabbed while accepting the first installment of Rs. 1 lakh by ACB inspector MA Vaghela under supervision of BL Desai today.
