Ahmedabad: There’s a setback for Gujarat Congress’s working president Hardik Patel as a Sessions Court here has rejected his plea requesting to modify bail condition in year 2015 sedition case that prohibits him from leaving the State without court’s permission.
Hardik had sought lifting of condition for a specific period to attend political meetings in Delhi and meet his lawyers for a case pending in the Supreme Court. He was barred from leaving State by the court while granting him bail following his arrest for not attending trial of sedition case.
Investigation officer RJ Chaudhary had in his 12 page affidavit submitted in the court alleged that Hardik was not residing at the place mentioned in his bail plea. Also he had been absent in court hearings for whopping 61 times. DeshGujarat
