Ahead of assembly seat by-poll, three taluka panchayat members join BJP in Dang

The Dangs: Three members of Vaghai taluka panchayat in tribal populated district Dang in South Gujarat today joined BJP in presence of State cabinet minister Ganpat Vasava.
Vasava described this development as political earthquake in poll-bound district.
Three taluka panchayat members who joined BJP are Prakash Vaghela, Alkaben and Zahida Saiyad.
Earlier three Sarpanchs of local villages namely Garkhadi, Bheskatri and Kosimbda had joined BJP.
Dang assembly seat was won by Congress candidate Mangal Gavit in last general elections of assembly in year 2017. However, ahead of Rajya Sabha election early this year, Gavit resigned from Congress. A vacant seat of Dang assembly is going to witness by-poll by the end of this year along with 7 other Assembly seats. DeshGujarat
