No State level Navratri Mahotsav this year by Gujarat government

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today said that it will not celebrate State-level Navratri Mahotsav in upcoming Navratri festival period this year during 17-25 October. This decision has been taken at the level of State Chief Minister in view of global pandemic. The decision has been taken for good of people, stated a note released by State government.

It’s worth noting that, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd and GINFS (a consortium of various industries in Gujarat currently led by RIL’s Dhanraj Nathwani) organize a State level Navratri Mahotsav, mostly at GMDC ground in Ahmedabad for nine days. The Chief Minister and others perform aarti in presence of hundreds of invited guests and citizens on the first day along with a staged performance. Mahotsav also involves daily State level Raas-Garba competitions, public garba participated by lakhs of people, exhibition, fun activities and more. DeshGujarat
