No entry in Polo forest for visitors during weekends in October
October 02, 2020
Idar: Sabarkantha district administration has decided to ban entry of visitors to Polo forest in North Gujarat during all weekends in current month of October. The decision has been taken in view of Covid-19 pandemic and needs for physical distancing. A notification in this regard has been issued by district collector office.
Local Congress MLA Ashwin Kotwal had on last Sunday blocked a road to Polo forest with his supporters demanding that visitors from outside should be disallowed as they can spread Covid-19 infection in local tribal people during their visit to Polo forest.
It’s worth noting that Polo forest attracts thousands of visitors during weekends in winters. According to locals, last weekend around 25,000 visitors visited Polo forest. DeshGujarat
