Jamnagar: Teams of Jamnagar Police Special Operation Group(SOG) and Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police have in a joint operation nabbed another member linked to notorious wanted criminal Jayesh Patel’s gang. The latest gang member nabbed is Razak Chavda alias Razak Sopari.

According to Police, Razak Sopari had on instructions of Jayesh Patel executed firing on Jamnagar based builder Girish Der in the month of July this year through Sanjay Barad (Sutrapada) , Hitesh alias Hitesh Zala and Pravin alias Tako (Dhoraji). Three executors were arrested in July this year by Gujarat ATS. Another accused Hussain Dawood Chavda (brother of Razak) was arrested in the month of August this year from Wankaner. Razak was on the run after this incident of firing. Razak is believed to be involved in seven incidents of crime including attempt of murder and kidnapping. He was given life term by court for murder is one of cases. He was on the run after release on parole about five months ago. He has been arrested from Bopal area of Ahmedabad.

Earlier Jamnagar SOG and Gujarat ATS had in a joint operation nabbed a person who would supply weapons to Jayesh Patel gang. Jayesh Patel alias Jaysukh Ranpariya is Interpol red corner tagged criminal with over 40 FIR against him, wanted by India.
