Congress fields Chetan Khachar as its candidate on Limbdi seat

Gandhinagar: Opposition Congress party has fielded Chetan Khachar on Limbdi assembly seat where polling will take place on October 3 as part of 8-seat by-polls. Khachar hails from Kathi Darbar community. He has headed Surendranagar district panchayat and also worked as Secretary in the State Congress organization. Chetan Khachar belongs to Sayla and Chuda belt of Limbdi assembly seat while BJP candidate Kiritsinh Rana enjoys domination over Limbdi area of this seat. Congress plans to capture maximum votes from Sayla-Chuda area by fielding Chetan Khachar who is also close to outgoing Congress MLA Soma Ganda Patel (Koli). It is understood that Soma Patel has decided to contest as independent candidate eying large chunk of Koli community votes. DeshGujarat
