Gandhinagar: Bharat Biotech has received permission from the State Health and Family Welfare department of Gujarat to conduct Phase-III efficiency and safety clinical trials of COVID19 vaccine Covaxin in five medical colleges / hospitals, that are – BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, GMERS Sola and Gandhinagar, SGVP and MK Shah College – SMS hospital. Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Institute of Virology (NIV) is developing a vaccine for COVID19.
