Morbi: Ahead of the by-election of Morbi assembly seat, Morbi municipality president Ketanbhai Vilpara today joined BJP with 8 municipal Councillors. Morbi municipality is presently with Congress. Earlier this week Morbi district panchayat president also joined BJP. Morbi district panchayat is also with Congress.

Polling for Morbi and 7 other assembly seats of Gujarat is going to take place on November 3. Morbi seat is vacant due to resignation of outgoing Congress MLA Brijesh Merja ahead of Rajya Sabha elections earlier this year. Merja later joined BJP. He is BJP candidate for Morbi by-poll. DeshGujarat
