News reports on mass promotion to class 1-8 students false and baseless: Gujarat govt

Gandhinagar: State Education department has in a communication clarified that the government has no plans as of now for mass promotion of students in schools, and news reports indicating any such move are baseless. The Government in a statement said: At present the government has no plans of mass promotion of students in class 1 to 8. News reports that government is thinking about mass promotion of class 1-8 students are false and baseless. People are requested not to get misled due to such reports.
શિક્ષણ વિભાગ : ધોરણ એકથી આઠમાં માસ પ્રમોશન અંગે હાલ કોઇ વિચારણા નથી. સમૂહ માધ્યમોમાં ચાલુ શૈક્ષણિક વર્ષમાં ધોરણ ૧ થી ૮માં અભ્યાસ કરતા વિદ્યાર્થીઓને માસ પ્રમોશન આપવામાં આવશે તેવા બિનપાયાદાર સમાચારો વહેતા થયા છે તે તદ્દન ખોટા છે. આવા સમાચારોથી જાહેર જનતાને ગેરમાર્ગે ન દોરાવા વિનંતી
