Ahmedabad: Leader of opposition in BJP ruled Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Dinesh Sharma has tendered his resignation from the post. Sharma said he was resigning as he wanted sufficient time to prepare for upcoming election of AMC.

However actual reason of Sharma’s resignation is believed, repeated demands for same made by two city MLAs of Congress before the party high commands recently.

While two city MLAs Imran Khedawala and Gyasuddin Sheikh were in favour of Sharma, two others, Shailesh Parmar and Himmatsingh Patel had made desperate efforts for Sharma’s exit from the post and made representations for same before party high commands.

Sharma is Leader of opposition in AMC for last nearly five years.
