Gujarati TV, film, theater actor Hasmukh Bhavsar passes away

Ahmedabad: A famous actor of Gujarat TV, films and theater Hasmukh Bhavsar today passed away. He was visiting pilgrim town Dakor near Ahmedabad where he suffered heart attack. Bhavsar is known for his TV serials Bhala Bhusana Bhed Bharam, Kaka Chale Wanka etc that were telecast in 1980s. Bhavsar was known for his unique Amdavadi style of acting and his voice.

Born in Khadia area of city in 1950, Bhavsar was fond of swimming. He was working as a coach in Kankariya swimming pool. He continued to work here till the end of his life. 70-year Hasmukhbhai was on way to Vadodara to meet a producer with cameraman Maunbhai Zala. As Dakor was on the way, he decided to have darshan there. At 11.45 am he had darshan of Rachhodraiji in Dakor temple. He stepped outside and was in process to purchase prashad for family but meanwhile he suffered heart attack and collapsed. He was taken to nearby hospital in emergency service 108 ambulance. However by the time he reached doctors, he was dead.

Bhavsar was cremated at Jamalpur crematorium in the evening.

Bhavsar started his acting career in 1970 with Tarak Mehta written play ‘Ek Murakh Ne Evi tev’. He was also producer of this play. In recent past, Bhavsar also played roled in films like Sambandho ni Sonography, Bap Vechvano Chhe, Bijo Divas, Sagpan, Grand Hali, DeshGujarat
