Chemists asked to use ACSYS application to pass on details of suspected Covid-19 cases

Gandhinagar: Chemists at medical shops have been asked by the State government to use ACSYS (Advance Covid-19 Syndromic Surveillance System) mobile application to inform the health department about suspected Covid-19 cases.
A one-day district level workshop was held in this regard in Sabarkantha district at Himmatnagar in which all private chemists, taluka health officers, primary health center medical officers were present.
Dr. Abhiyant Tiwari, assistant professor of Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management addressed the one-day workshop.
He said, details of suspected patients entered in mobile application will appear in health officer’s mobile phone. The health official will then order quick surveillance, screening and rapid test etc procedures in order to curb spread of Covid-19.
