Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat late in the evening today made announcement that its earlier decision to reopen schools and colleges in limited strength from November 23 across the State has been now postponed in view of the present situation of coronavirus spread.
The Government had decided to reopen class 9 – 12 of schools, final year classes of undergraduate colleges/universities and all post graduate classes in colleges and universities from November 23, a date when most of the courts are also reopening in the state. The decision was taken and announced when daily number of new covid19 cases was going down. However soon after Diwali festival, number of cases are increasing once again in the State and weekend/night curfew has been announced in the city of Ahmedabad after shortage of beds looming.
