Sabarmati: Amdavad Hospital and Nursing Home Association (AHNA) has decided criteria for admission of covid patients in private hospitals as most of the beds are occupied. Covid patients will be given priority based on five criteria listed below:

Criteria 1. covid patients above 60 age will be given priority for hospital admission.

If a patient suffers from covid and he/she has other illness or ongoing treatment prior to covid, he/she will be given priority.

Best attempt will be made to offer urgent treatment of patients suffering from lever, kidney, transplant and HIV infection.

Criteria 2. Covid patient suffering from 101 F temperature from last three days.

Criteria 3. In case of oxygen level (SPO2) below 94 per cent in body of a patient.

Criteria 4. Those covid patients who have problem in breathing.

Criteria 5. Patients with problem in organ other than lungs.

If some covid patient wishes to get admission in private covid hospital for reasons other than five criteria listed above, the doctors in that hospital will take decision as per the situation.

Such five criteria have been fixed as most of the beds in private covid hospitals are full.
