Ahmedabad SOG Police nab a Pakistani woman

Ahmedabad City Crime Branch’s Special Operation Group (SOG) has nabbed a Pakistani citizen woman who was living in Ahmedabad for last three years illegally.
According to Police, a Pakistani citizen woman Carol was living in Ranip area of city with her husband Sujit Mathew who passed away due to Coronavirus infection recently in the month of September.
Carol had come to India from Pakistan via Nepal with her two children who are 12 and 9 year old. She claimed she was introduced to Sujit Mathew through Shadi.Com matrimonial website. She fell in love with Sujit Mathew and therefore came to India to settle with him by crossing Nepal border. Carole was divorcee in Pakistan with two children while Sujit Mathew was divorcee in India with one child.
Brother of Sujit’s first wife had filed plea in the High Court to have sister’s son from Sujit. He had also filed application in CID Crime, Department of Home, Government of Gujarat for same and informed that Carole, a new wife of Sujit Mathew was a Pakistani living illegally in India. Based on this application, Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Gujarat Police had initiated probe, after which SOG had filed complaint.
Sujit and Carole had visited border district Kutch in 2018 for wedding. They were living in Navrangpura area of Ahmedabad.
Police is tracing mobile call details of Carol and also searching into whether fake documents were used. Lahore origin Carole blames Sujit for fake documents she possesses. Sujit is no more. DeshGujarat
