Muslims don’t trust Congress, therefore Owaisi’s party is marching ahead: Rupani
December 28, 2020
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today said that the Muslims no more put trust in Congress party. He said it is because of this reason, Owaisi’s political party is marching ahead whether in Bihar where it recently won five seats or elsewhere.
‘Even Muslims don’t trust Congress party, and because of that, Owaisi’s party is progressing ahead. Congress has stuck in this,’ Rupani replied when asked by media persons about possible entry of Hyderabad based Owaisi’s AIMIM party in Gujarat.
Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) leader and Jhagadia MLA Chhotu Vasava had recently made announcement that his party will contest upcoming polls in Gujarat jointly with Owaisi led AIMIM. Owaisi has however not commented on this development.
Rupani said, ‘yesterday scores of Muslims in Abdasa (Kutch) have resigned from Congress. They are also upset with Congress. In last 8-seat by-polls Congress has suffered huge defeat. I had said even on that occasion that Congress is a sinking ship. It’s a leaderless party.’
