Vaccine stock may arrive in 3-4 days, Govt will bear the cost of vaccine till it is possible: Nitin Patel

Gandhinagar: State Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Nitin Patel today told media persons that as many as 10 crore doses of Oxford University vaccine against Covid19 are ready with the vaccine maker and the govt of India may possibly allocate the stock in next three-four days to Gujarat as the State is covered in the first-phase. Patel said large scale vaccination will begin in the country including in Gujarat thanks to the far sighted leader Narendrabhai Modi, under whose leadership meticulous planning has been done for rollout of vaccine. Patel said, the State government will not pass on the burden of expenses over vaccination to the people till it is possible. He assured the people that whatever possibly needs to be spent, the Gujarat govt will spend it. DeshGujarat

Meanwhile Union health minister Dr Harsh Vardhan today said that in the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination, free vaccine shall be provided across the nation to most prioritised beneficiaries that include one crore healthcare and two crore frontline workers.
