January 05, 2021
Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat has today announced permanent protection for fajal teachers and staffers of granted secondary and higher secondary school teachers.
Education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said those appointed from now as teacher-employee in any granted secondary or higher secondary school will not lose job due to closure of school/class.
He added that recruitment of teachers in non-government granted secondary and higher secondary schools take place as per the central merit since year 2011. The decision has been taken as recruitment process, TAT exam, eligibility, salery structure for government run secondary and higher secondary schools and granted secondary and higher secondary schools is same. As granted secondary and higher secondary school teachers were not protected as Fajal, they were working under fear of losing job which affected quality of teaching. With fresh decision of granting protection to them, the quality of teaching will improve.
The minister added that instead of fresh appointment in vacant places, Fajal teachers will be appointed, thanks to which, the schools will get experienced teachers and long process of recruitment will be avoided.
Around 70,000 teachers of granted secondary and higher secondary schools in the State will be benefited with this decision. DeshGujarat
