Rajkot to have another Bus station as Madhapar Chokdi

Gandhinagar: A decision to allocate 6800 square meter land at token price of Re. 1 for proposed bus station in Madhapar cross roads was taken by State cabinet today. The location is on 150 ft ring road in Rajkot. A new bus station will especially be useful for those traveling from Jamnagar, Dwarka, Junagadh and Porbandar etc districts to Rajkot. It will also ease burden on existing bus port in the city. Proposed new bus station will have 8 platforms, waiting area, shopping complex, stalls-canteen and rest rooms for driver/conductor. Proposed bus station will witness daily around 300 bus trips, serving over 4500 passengers as per a note issued by the State government.
