11,800 vaccinated against Covid-19 on day one in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: As many as 11,800 corona warriors were vaccinated across 161 centers spread in 33 districts and 8 municipal corporation areas in Gujarat on the first day of world’s largest vaccination drive. According to health minister Nitin Patel, 80-100 per cent coverage has been achieved across all centres. Adverse side impact of vaccine has not been witnessed in even a single case. Patel said, the government has planned to vaccinate around4.40 lakh corona warriors and front line corona warriors in the first phase. Those who took first dose today, would be administered second dose after a gap of 28 days. 15 days after the second dose, immunity against Covid-19 infection will start building in body. DeshGujarat
