State Election Commission of Gujarat announces February 2021 Local body Civic elections programme

Gandhinagar: The State Election Commission of Gujarat today announced the programme for local body elections in the State involving 6 municipal corporations, 81 municipalities, 31 district panchayats and 231 taluka panchayats.
Polling for Municipal Corporations will take place on Sunday 21 February during 7 am to 6 pm while for municipalities and panchayats, polling will take place on 28 February during 7 am to 6 pm. Counting for Municipal Corporation polls will take place on 23 February while for municipalities and panchayats, counting will take place on 2nd March.

Announcement of election programme 23 January, notification 1st February, last date of filing nominations 6 February, scrutiny of nomination forms 8 February, last date of withdrawal of nominations 9 February, polling 21 February, Repolling if/where required 22 February, Counting 23 February
Municipalities, district and taluka panchayats:
Announcement of election programme23 January, notification 8 February, last date of filing nominations 13 February, scrutiny of nominations 15 February, last date of withdrawal of nominations 16 February, polling 28 February, repolling if/where required 1st March, counting 2nd March
