Gujarat BJP holds protests against Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in Assam

Gandhinagar: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today staged protests outside the Congress party offices across the State against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks regarding Gujarat in his speech at public meeting in Assam yesterday.

BJP leader IK Jadeja, MLA Rakesh Shah, city party chief Jagdish Panchal, former Mayor Amit Shah among others joined the protest in Paldi area outside the State Congress headquarters.

BJP note released today evening stated: Congress has always taken stand to insult the people of Gujarat and the leadership of Gujarat including Sardar Patel. It is Congress party’s history to create obstructions against progress of Gujarat. Today Congress’s polluted politics has once again exposed. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has insulted the people of Gujarat and all small-big businessmen by making remarks in a public meeting in Assam. Rahul Gandhi and Congress should tender public apology.

The statement further said that Gujarat BJP today organized strong protest programmes across 33 districts and 8 cities with slogans seeking public apology. The people of Gujarat who are well aware about Congress’s mindset will show them a place.
