1200 bed Women and Children hospital at Asarwa civil campus resumes functioning

Asarwa: Civil medicity campus based 1200-bed Women and Children multi specialty hospital has resumed functioning today after over ten months of Covid19 pandemic period. The doctors and staffers performed Satyanarayan puja before reopening of the hospital for women and children. A 1200 bed hospital was converted into designated covid hospital on 7 April 2020. More than 70,000 patients were admitted in this covid designated hospital in the span of over ten months of pandemic. As the number of covid patients allover has reduced significantly, a 1200-bed hospital has been now reconverted into women and children hospital, the purpose for which it was originally built. However 200 beds in this hospital have been still kept for covid patients separately. Before using the hospital for women and children, it has been completely sanitized, informed a note released by the government.
