AMC election 2021: Ward wise voters turnout and final overall turnout (updated)
February 21, 2021
Ahmedabad: The City of Ahmedabad has witnessed 42.53 per cent voting today in Civic election, The city had witnessed 44 per cent voting in year 2010 civic elections and 46 per cent in 2015 election. The city was worst affected by Covid19 pandemic last year in Gujarat. Though pandemic situation has eased, it is believed that lower turnout is due to fear of second wave of pandemic. Though there can be other reasons too, such as no strong issues ahead of the election, overconfident BJP cadres and supporters, and completely lack of enthusiasm among Congress cadres. Counting of votes will take place on February 23.
