Gandhinagar: Union Home minister Amit Shah today cast his vote for Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) election in Naranpura area. He was accompanied by his family members – wife, son, daughter in law and grand daughter. Rajya Sabha member Narhari Amin, former Mayor Gautam Shah and city BJP chief Jagdish Vishwakarma were also present when Shah arrived to cast his vote.
Speaking to media persons briefly, Shah said, “It’s Shri Ganesh of local polls in Gujarat today with polling for the elections of municipal corporations. Even when our Prime Minister Narendrabhai Modi was Chief Minister here, overall development reached corners of Gujarat whether it is rural area of urban, forest area of hilly areas, sea coast or city or village. Inclusive development drive started from here was replicated elsewhere across India. May states moved forward in same direction. I am sure, heavy polling will take place today and with victory of development, Gujarat will emerge as BJP’s strong fort after this election. Under the leadership of Narendrabhai, BJP has been victorious countrywide and this is the place where it all started.” DeshGujarat
