PM Narendra Modi administered Covid19 vaccine

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was administered the first dose of vaccine against Covid19 at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi at 6.25 am today. The Prime Minister tweeted a photograph of the moment with smiling face. He was wearing ‘gamchha’ scarf of Assam.

The Prime Minister tweeted: Took my first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at AIIMS. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible to take the vaccine. Together, let us make India COVID-19 free!

The vaccine, the Prime Minister took today is Bharat Biotech made COVAXIN – India’s First Indigenous Covid-19 Vaccine. Political opponent who were raising question over this Swadeshi vaccine, have been replied today this way. Sister Niveda who gave vaccine shot to Prime Minister Modi is from Puducherry. The second nurse is from Kerala. PM Modi went to AIIMS without any route on the roads, thus choosing early morning to ensure no inconvenience to people.

It’s worth noting that the Prime Minister is 70 years old and the second phase of Covid19 vaccination drive which begins today, covers all those above 60. The Prime Minister in order to avoid VVIPism choose to have vaccine onlyn when turn of his age group arrived. The government has announced to make available the doses of Covid19 vaccine at government facilities for free of cost and at private centres for Rs. 250.

Sir (PM Modi) has been administered first dose of Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin, second dose will be given in 28 days. He asked us where do we belong to & after vaccination he said, “Laga bhi di, pata hi nahi chala”: Sister P Niveda who inoculated PM Modi said.
