Offline teaching in schools in 8 cities of Gujarat suspended till April 10; Graduate level college exams postponed

Gandhinagar: In a latest decision, in connection with rising number of coronavirus cases, the Government of Gujarat has decided to suspend offline education in schools for the duration of 19 March to 10 April for now in 8 Municipal Corporation areas – Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Bhavnagar and Gandhinagar. Online education/home learning will continue in the schools. The first exam in secondary and higher secondary schools in 8 municipal corporation areas will be conducted online. Online exams will be also conducted in primary schools as per schedule. Offline examination programme scheduled in graduate level colleges between March 19 to April 10 has been postponed. The new programme will be declared later. Post Graduate level exams, offline classes and practical will continue. Hostels will continue to function.
