Shri Somnath Trust launches no-profit package tour of Diu

Prabhas Patan: Shri Somnath Trust on Saturday launched a package tour service connecting Somnath to Diu. The package tour costing Rs. 500 per person includes sightseeing, lunch and to-and-fro transportation by the bus.
The package tour will include sightseeing of various locations in Diu such as Gangeshwar Mahadev, Nagoa Beach, Market, Church, Museum, Khukri and Fort. Fix Gujarati Lunch will be also provided during the tour. The bus have a capacity of 23 passengers and it will depart from Somnath at 8 AM. Bookings will be done from the booking office of Shree Somnath Trust on First come, first served basis. A local Senior Citizens Club of Veraval participated in the maiden journey soon after the launch of package tour.
The package tour is operated on no-profit basis for those who visit Prabhas Patan for darshan of first jyotirling Somnath, but find it difficult to plan a day-long tour of Diu island due to lack of connectivity and organized tour. Diu island is located just two hours away from Prabhas Patan.
Another recently launched facility by Shri Somnath Trust for the visitors is extra trolley beds that shall be provided at a charge of Rs. 200 in the guesthouses of Shree Somnath Trust such as Lilavati, Sagar Darshan and Maheshwari. Extra trolley beds will be made available in the rooms at the demand of the tourists at a cost of Rs. 200 including GST. This facility is going to be quite comfortable for kids and senior citizens, as mentioned in a press-note by Shree Somnath Trust.
