Gujarat ACB traps two CGST officials in Ahmedabad in bribe case

Ahmedabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat has nabbed two officials of Central Goods & Services Tax (CGST) in the city. One of them is class-1 officer, the other is class-2 officer.
The accused according to ACB are Superintendent Prakash Rasaniya (53), class-2 and Joint Commissioner Nitu Singh Anil Tripathi(35), class-1 officer, both working at CGST office, Division-6, Sima hall, Ahmedabad.
Complainant in this case is into online retail furnishing work business. He wanted tax credit (ITC) against import for which accused officials demanded Rs. 5 lakh bribe. After bargaining, bribe amount was fixed at Rs. 1.50 lakh. Accused Prakash Rasaniya was nabbed while receiving bribe for him and another accused Nitu Singh Tripathi today. Both accused are detained by ACB Inspector RG Chaudhary, under supervisio of KB Chudasama.
