Chennai: Union minister and BJP leader Smriti Irani was spotted playing Gujarati traditional dance Dandiya with BJP workers at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore has presence of full fledged Gujarati community organization called Coimbatore Gujarati Samaj. News Agency ANI in its tweet posted a video of Smriti playing Dandiya with BJP workers, as a part of election campaigning for Vanathi Srinivasan, the party’s candidate from Coimbatore South constituency. Smriti has represented Gujarat in Rajya Sabha. She can speak fluent Gujarati. She is also married to a Gujarati speaking Parsi man.
